We must of passed each other in the middle of the nite... On 54 south of Santa Rosa heading down to El Paso...
Well I hope you like .55 mi freight because that is what it will take to get out of El Paso. We had a driver there for 168 hrs before she gave in to .55 mi to get out of El Paso.

Don't assume. We haven't had a truck have to take 55 cpm out of anywhere yet.

I'm not assuming. I'm just relaying the info I got from my dispatch as to what it took to get out of El Paso, Laredo and other cities in Tx. I took a load out of Laredo for .60 mi last week just to leave and will not return until rates go back up.

True. OVM dropping Cotulla tomorrow may be our first! But from the offers we hear, that may not be an issue.
But sorry to "assume" your statement of "I hope you like .55 mi freight because that is what it will take to get out of El Paso" meant that "THAT IS WHAT IT WILL TAKE.............."

I want to also say that I DON'T like the rates where they are at anymore than you do. I want all of us to make some serious money. As I have said in the past work smarter not harder. As we all get older it's not as easy to run like this. Just ask OVM.

If all things were equal, have to remember treadmill pays his carrier 10% more than I do if we don't Play with the margins

You're on a 16.36% margin load as we speak. That's 83.64% to the truck.
We also have 11.375%, 16.31% and 18.07 in process. As explained previously, we adjust our end as often as required to help get loads. Teamwork!!

And yes, EVERY carrier is having to make adjustments to survive these days. It sucks. But it's life.
