So I made a run to Maine Friday for Monday delivery sat for 48+ hrs at truck stop go in to drop this morning at 7 receiver closed till 9 finally shows up and asks why I didn't deliver it Saturday! Great so I wasted 2 days could have done my return to jersey Saturday !!! Grrrr lost a whole day today driving the return load that could have come back Saturday just another bs day!!!
Guess I should be glad the return didn't cancel!
Paulsboro for now till 8 am drop then who knows , my black beastie needs a wash.

I find when things go wrong it happens in 3s. Then it might be 6 months before anything happens. Although I have noticed its normally having something to do with the auto industry lol

At home. I just delivered to a Sam's DC about 15 miles from my house. Saw the following sign in the driver waiting area.

Once again I proved the macro point to be pretty much useless, checked to see how many units were near me, and my unit was missing. I tracked it down and it showed I was 80 miles southwest of my location... I've been home for 12 hours and it never updated my location!

So picked up a shorty to start my week. A drivers truck broke down near Lexington so I picked up at our Lexington service center and took it to Franklin Indiana. Sitting at a rest area about 30 miles away waiting on my delivery time of 10am. BoL says in big bold letters dock times must adhere to scheduled delivery time

Just got a message from my fleet manager and it's true I must wait till 10 or even a little after to deliver. Wouldn't be an issue except I picked up at 3am because night dispatch said Lexington was 7 hours away from Franklin. Then I forgot the name so I didn't map it out. So it's 100% on me

That same sign was at the Walmart DC I delivered to in Alabama. Big trucks had to drop after they backed in then go park in the bobtail parking area
So do you disconnect from your trailer and then dolly down?

Is it supposed to track you 24/7 or just when on loads? (we USUALLY only track on loads)
Is it supposed to automatically update Sylectus or does a human have to manually update that based on the MacroPoint position email they received? (which is how we are)
Not all MacroPoint is automatic and Sylectus-updating as you seem to indicate.

I believe it's 24/7 and usually its close to where I'm at when I check.

10-4. There's a lot to be said in thinking that many people in this industry would not think twice about stealing customer lists, stealing drivers, stealing business, stealing concepts and using it for their own advantage in a start-up or going to another company.
It's how many industries are. Not just freight.

Yep I understand that, I'd just like to get pick up numbers or any info that makes my loading go a little faster, wasted 45 minutes waiting for a pick up# yesterday

Absolutely! Pick #s are a big part of getting out in a reasonable amount of time. Although it doesn't always work, we try to ask "Any pick up numbers on this load?"

Yea you would think, but they always have to call the customer, yesterday was a blind shipment from the customer, shipper had no idea where I was going, but 45 min later I got all the info, had I not the delivery would have gotten all the paperwork instead of a hand written BOL
