Hey Layout, I recommend a book for you to read, Liberal Fascism by Goldberg.

Maybe someday Greg. My right eye has gotten so bad that I cannot read a book for more than 5 minutes and then it just closes. Makes reading hard. I can sorta keep it open when on the computer. Give me an overview?

Well NOPE won't give you an overview BUT I will recommend something - books on tape. It is too long to explain all of it and I am tired of explaining things to people - sorry.

If your library is a participant in one of the audio book programs they have here, then see if you can get it from them, free.

Library? In my truck? No tape player in the truck. Maybe I can find an overview on line. It SUCKS not being able to read. Reading used to be one of my favorite sports. :(

Do you use a GPS system?

if you do, you can figure out how to get the file from the library onto your computer.

Just Delorme on my computer and it sucks. I am never home to use the library. I have never tried looking it up on line, never thought about it.

Well just go to the library's site and see, I think most libraries are hooked up somehow.

Unless you live in a place where they have the lending library, general store and the post office all in one place and the guy who runs all of them is named Sam.

I have never even been to the library in Monroe. The township I live in does not have a library. Not enough people to support one. I am going to check out Monroe's.

I don't borrow books these days, even if I could sit and read one. We are gone 300+ days a year. Makes it hard to get them back in time. When home I prefer to hunt or fish. It is getting VERY hard to tie knots, I can't see the line all that well.

Well I think monroe has the ebook/books on tape thing and you don't need to go to the library but grab them online. They won't work after a specific date, like an return date so it isn't bad at all.

Yep, I was just looking at that. Interesting to be sure. I can read a bit better on line. It is hard to read and keep a train of thought when you have to close your eyes every minute or two. I am looking into the audio stuff. I can still sorta hear. Getting old sucks.

You know what Joe, if you get to a walmart, go to their electronic section where they have those tvs and look at the nook and kindle ereader (check out the iPad too), they use a different form of display that I know helps people see a bit better than these LCD screens. It is like a book but not back lit.

I bought my wife a Kindle for her birthday. It's okay, better than this screen for sure. I have to try it for a while to see if I can keep my eye open when reading it. It is not print size that is the issue. The eye keeps closing. Had surgery on it once, did not work. I had an appointment with the surgeon in Dec that got cancelled. Don't know when I can get the next one. As it gets worse it will start to affect my night driving so I am going to have to push them to fit me in soon.
