Hoping for three-year sentence
Verone said he doesn’t have medical insurance. He has a growth of some sort on his chest, two ruptured disks and a problem with his left foot. He is 59-years-old and with no job and a depleted bank account, he thought jail was the best place he could go for medical care and a roof over his head.

I read this story on a leftist website. The comments...WOW, you would not believe the number of out-and-out communists out there. I couldn't believe what I was reading. Nobody there had any concept of private capital.

Ha...He did not even get charged with robbery....with his luck he'll get time served and community service/probation.

Lots of free medical care at med schools. Don't try to tell me that the poor should not have to go to student doctors. Vets have too all the time at the VA.

There is always a way to get things done. I would not be surprised if this guy was "set up" to do this for the publicity.

Reminds me of the movie ," Going in Style ". George Burns and Art Carney are in an apartment and broke. They are remembering when they were young and had the world by the whatnots.. I thought that was a great movie,and realistic. It was made in 1979 so some of u were still in diapers or close to it.lol

When u can,,rent the movie, its great.

In 1980 I was into my fourth year of a 5 year tour in England. Kids! LOL!!! My YOUNGEST son was born in 1977!! Man I am getting old!

Im getting close to just going home and set on the porch till the end of my lifecycle............gezzzzzzzzzzzzzze,,,what am I saying, and miss all the fun out here, but I cant quit till someone removes that sign ( No Expeditoooooorssssssssssss)lol

I know the feeling. Like on those mornings when I wake up and the bones say OH NO YOU DON'T!!!
