I will sometimes (often, even) take a position in a debate that varies greatly from my own, for the specific purpose of learning other points of view. If you can't understand someone else's point of view, it's very hard to convince anyone that yours deserves consideration.
Yeah, silly, but liberal still isn't in what I said although the Cabinet etc. that support him are in fact majority liberal.
