lunchpail heaters

Had a lunchpail heater in the past, before a codriver broke it and wouldn't even admit it. Got a little tired of the limited repertoire, though. I mean, there's beef stew, and ravioli, corned beef hash...and beef stew, and ravioli, and corned beef hash... If I was adventurous, I'd swap the ravioli for the little lasagna stuff and squish it over on one side and then add some peas on the other side of the tin. Then while it was heating, I'd open a can of pears or peaches. But I'm looking for more variety. What else can be heated in one, something that doesn't need refrigeration?

Never had a heated lunch bucket but Im thinking there is all kinds of canned soups and meats out there on the shelfs.
Also all kinds veggies in cans and packaged ready to eat meals.Get creative and blend what ya like.
One Q why not go micro-wave? I dont think it would take up much more room then your lunchpail??? Alot of small ones on the market.
That way ya get fresh popcorn on a daily basis.:D

I was given a lunchpail heater, and the 12 volt coffee pot, both were to much trouble and did not last long. Now I do the microwave thing with all the new foods that come in a bag, lol.
The coffee thing, I get at the truckstops or a Mcd. in my thermos, its easier, yes for a buck at Loves . Sometimes out in the middle of nowhere coffee is 45 cents a fill up, wow.:)

I dont trust the 12 volt stuff, my generator is the best thing I ever put on the van, makes things a lot easier.

A microwave opens up all sorts of power and storage issues. Don't have a generator. Plan on getting one before next summer, but not until then. Despite having what seems like all this room, it pretty much goes out the window when 2-3 skids are loaded. If I were even a half-assed carpenter, I'd build shelves like Turtles, but alas, I'm not. I'm a little limited in what I can do to the van, not owning it.
