Lufkin, TX Dirt Track Racing

We enjoy dirt track racing and found this track that has plenty of truck parking and would fit a semi and trailer. There were several classes of cars and the track was run very well. A nice feature of the track is the way it is set up we did not get covered in dirt. If you are stuck in Lufkin for the weekend check the web site out. The track is about 3 miles from the Loves Travel Center.

For the dirt track fans, check out the Pahrump Valley Speedway near Las Vegas Nv.

One of the cool things about this track is you never know who might show up to race a car. Several times during the late '90s when I lived out there, some of the part time nascar drivers would be there. Oldtimers like Dick Trickle, Ken Schrader, guy that don't have a ride everyweek. It was Cool.

There are soooo many good little dirt "bull rings" around the country that you can for the most part see a good race any weekend...it just takes some effort to find them, but well worth it...

While this one isn't dirt, we do have alot of expediters that get stuck in LA, Irwindale runs alot of good shows. When you talk Irwindale, most people think the Drag strip, but they have a really good Oval track program asso with Nascar and run several classes.

oh and port royal pa . had a nice track LOL. they still try to race there every satrday night . . and if you do go there i have a big yard you welcome to park in the yard .
