Reservation fuel can end up costing you more.

Reservation fuel only includes the fuel price. Truck stop fuel is fuel price and taxes. You have to pay the tax even if bought at reservation.

To truly know if you are saving money take the tax out of truck stop fuel and compare fuel to fuel prices.

i was told years ago ,not to spend money in the Indian casino's only in casino's in states that have casino's ,becuse they do not pay state saxes ,& same goe's for fuel ,as they are not paying back taxes to the state ,
finely a place to ask if there's any true to that

yes ,but, some Expedite carrier's and truck owners ,do not charge back quarterly hwy use taxes ,which make's the pump price king .
i always like to deduct from the pump price the fuel tax ,and then calculate the paid FSC ,and divide by the fuel millage ,which get me to buy fuel at about 56 cents a gallon ,which is pretty cool .

If your truck is 26,001 or higher gvw you are going to pay the fuel tax. It's like the old commercial for oil I think or maybe STP or whatever. You can pay me now or you can pay me later. Unless you are the carrier, i.e. have your own authority, or you work for a very small carrier, and you or they cheat on the fuel tax, you will be paying it and should go by the price vs cost theory.
