Loving the E85 fuel option!

My yellow van ran on e85. Problem: lower fuel economy (13 vs 17). I ran a tankful once a year to keep the fuel lines clean.

If regular gas is $2.859 and E85 is $1.469, the the E85 is a way better deal.

If the price difference is in the 10-20% range, then not so much. There is 25% less energy in E85, so you get about 25% less fuel mileage with it versus regular gas.

In my opinion the Ethanol gas and Biodiesel diesel are no good as I've said many times on here. Fuel mileage is down and it clogs up lines and fuel filters in most cases. Pump, drill, frack ect to get more oil and run the pure stuff!

If your vehicle supports it, and the price difference is substantial enough to cover the lower fuel economy, then why not use it?

As for me now, the Promaster insists on regular E10 gas....
