I rember those days, newby they will spoon feed you for the 1st 3 months after that you'll be starving like everone else. I got to the point I couldn't afford to feed the cats. I ended up taking them off and ran for them 3yrs with no logos on my unit.Finding my own freight, just to survive with them. Not with them any more. Sence the previous partener sold out the driver to profit from his interest to sell to FINWAY.THINK ABOUT PANTHER II O/O HAS YOUR INCOME DROPED SENCE MARCH 1st??? Want to sell a house paint it to make it look better. Want to sell a company add all the o/o to the fleet to make it look better. Just my 2cents worth. After Fenway is in there for a few year you will all be required to paint your vehicles yellow and put DHL logos on your units, that will be your new bosses. AMERICA IS BEING SOLD OUT TO FORIEGN COUNTRIES WAKE UP AMERICA SAVE YOUR A____'S AND JOBS. VOTE OUT THOSE IN THE CONGRESS AND SENATE. ELECT NEW PEOPLE, IF THEY DONT WORK OUT IN 4YRS THEN VOTE THEM OUT

The honeymoon will be over in a few weeks. Then I'll be interested in reading what you have to say! I was in the same boat. I ran fairly well up until about the 3 month mark. All I can say, is I hope you've been saving some of that "dough".

My 2 cents

No. Third and fourth quarters are higher than the first. These are folks that have been there over "three months"
Fenway aquisition hasn't hurt. Not sure if we are getting some loads through them but nothing has slowed down.
Keep in mind that I am only looking at "D" unit teams and tractors.

Once upon a time there was an Easter rabbit who was joyfully romping in a field, he was so happy and skipping away filling his basket full of eggs...happy with glee jumping and dancing....singing and whistling until there was a loud "BOOM"!

The moral of the story is start saving your eggs ( I love stories with morals dont you guys?) You really cant be sure whats going to happen from one minute to the next.

you all make it sound like the end of the world...if business turns bad, there is a super simple solution, sell sprinter on ebay,(cost is 35.00) average price is 28,0000 for a used sprinter..have money in a week, then ya try something else..did you all forget this is america, the home of the free, and that maybe you can do anything you want..i mean honestly if it doesnt suceed, who cares, theres a million other opportunities out there... grab one ya like and ride it as long as you can, personally i will ride this bull as long as its profitable, and when its not (according to you doomsdayers) that should happen within the next 2 weeks..find a different bull to ride..life is really very simple, until negativity seeps in.. oh by the way...if your so slow after 3 months switch carriers every 3 months then you will be a newbie again, and you can start the cycle over...

I've heard stories about this "honeymoon" period from people with every carrier. I've only been with 2 companies. The first, I did crappy from day 1. Stayed for 9 months waiting for this mythical "busy time" I kept hearing about. When I changed, I did good from day 1 and 6 years later am still doing O.K.(Of course, there is the ebb and flow we all experience.) The company only makes money when we make money. That seems like motivation enough to keep everyone as busy as they can. Now, drivers who get lost everywhere they go and can't seem to get anywhere on time will probably be used much less than most.

I really like your comment. You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders. So many of these people log in and BASH companies and complain, but never tell the whole story or stop to think of what can be done to improve their situation. If it starts to go sour, call the driver liason, if you are a driver worth keeping, they will change and work hard to bring you back up. IF you a driver worth keeping.

Good Luck!}>

Hang in there hondaking38. I really believe a positive attitude will go far.

I am in a different type of expediting (camper delivery), and I just about always stay over in the Flying Hooks. I usually try to park with the expeditors, seems they are alot more friendly than the big trucks guys. Anyway, seems like all the expeditors I run into are all very busy. Once I see one park for a break or wait for another run, it isn't long before they are on the big road again.

The only thing I can agree with that the first response to your post said is that America is being sold out. We can thank corporate America and it's greedy owners and CEO's for that. I live in the metro Detroit area and have seen hundreds of manufacturing jobs (good paying jobs) lost to the foriegn market. These greedy people have forgotten what it is like to be a good American. In the good ole days company owners cared about their fellow American and shared the average Joe's interests. Nowadays the only thing they are interested in is filling their pockets. Shame on them.

Good luck Hondaking and drive safe!!
