Lost my last grandparent yesterday

My 94 year old grandmother passed yesterday and I was on the way to Kansas City when I heard. Now I'm looking at deadheading back to Kentucky tonight. I guess 94 is a good long life, but she will still be missed.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Just think about how lucky you were to have her in your life for so long, some people lost their Grandparents when they were very young. Doesn't make the loss any easier though

Next time you are rolling across the empty plains at night pull over and look up, I do, and I am filled with the contentment of knowing I am being watched over by the kind faces past. It gives me peace.

Sorry for you loss, I lost mine last grandparent at 94 as well. I am sure you will miss him.

My condolences to you and yours Charles. I lost my grandad at 92..he had said for yrs he was living on someone elses time and that the longer he hung around, he was taken up time for someone else....lol, when it became clear his time was short, one day he told my dad to "tell some young kid to enjoy his time here, he was ready to let go....

i smile often when i think of him, as i am sure you will now....

Many prayers are with you & your family. May you find comfort & peace. My personal opinion is that it doesn't matter how old a person is when they die because as long as they were loved by at least one person, they will be missed. Sorry for your loss. Be safe getting home.

Our condolences go out to you Charles. My husband just lost his mother on June 14. She was 84 and we miss her dearly so very much understand what you are feeling. Just remember your grandmother lives on through you and will continue to live on through your children and their children after them, gone but never forgotten. God bless you.
