I would like to train with someone to learn the OTR rules, in and outs, rights and wrongs. I have been trying to gather as much info as possible, and this web site has lots of good stuff. What are my chances of hooking up with a O/O willing to train me? Is there a best time of year to get more loads? I would like to learn more about the business, any advise? What are some of the pitfalls to watch for? I have a class A CDL w/hazzmat and tanker endorsements with local experince driving straight trucks.

Why not place add under team driver available stating your CDL qualifications and experiences along with name, contact phone number and city of residence for a starter?
Reading archive posts will help answer many of your questions and raise some.
Visit a truck stop near your residence spend time there talking with expediters.
I always found it valuable to take notes when talking to expediters so I don’t forget what all was said.

John gives some good advice. Researching the archives will give you a better foundation to ask specific questions. If they are too general or open ended, that is the responses you will attract.
If your personal situation permits, I would advise attending the Louisville truck show and possibly one of the EO workshops.
Between the two, you should get alot closer to the answers you are seeking.

hello, where do u live, i have a tractor trailer that i need a team member in and the driver will train. we work for fedex custom critical and they will allow you to drive as long as you have someone in the truck with experience. if you are interested please give me a call 918-645-9180
