Looking for a Driver

Just a quick note on this thread...
the 1st driver we put in the van didn't work out. After putting another driver in it ( a EO member), he now owns the van...

He worked hard and per the contract at the end of the agreed time, I turned the title over to him...He went from driver to owner...

So yea again, EO was the place that helped me expand my businessand then helped someone start their own business. Thanks Lawrence...

I am glad it worked out for you. I am looking to do the same thing as far as getting into the Expediter Business. If anyone has a similar situation like chefdennis had where they need a reliable, hardworking, ethical and professional business person to do this with (van lease/purchase), please let me know. I am looking for that for myself, rather than buying a new van to start into the expediter business.

Thanks!

It is probably a good idea to get some seat time and build a solid reputation.

But without EO, and having a large base of people in the industry to draw from, id have had to go about this in a different way...I got more referrals from people here then I ever would have gotten inquiries from a classified ad, it was unbelieveable...
A wonderful and enthusiastic testimonial in favor of using the Forums instead of the Classifieds for honed down, ultra-targeted advertising. We need more of that.

Bingo! I can't tell you how many people I've heard complaining about the way the Forums discriminate by relegating advertising to the Classified ad section. I'm surprised they haven't tried to Occupy Florence, carrying signs demanding "Desegregation Now!" and "Unshackle Our Ads!" and "Freedom of Advertising Is A Right!" and all that litter-on-a-stick stuff that troublemakers are so fond of.
