Logging Question

I should probably look this up, but thought I would ask here. Do you put DOT inspections on Line 3 or Line 4, end result is the same against your on duty hours! Only been OTR for a few months and been meaning to look into the proper way to handle this.

Line 4 since you are not driving.

make sure you use the time recorded on the inspection, start time, finish time.

Your On Duty Not Driving and you must NOTE on the log you were getting a DOT inspection, and as stated be sure you keep the correct time as listed on the Inspection report...youll need to note on your log, WHERE, if its a Weigh station or roadside, and any pertinent info, PASS or if you fail and get put out of service etc.
