log-in problem

for the last couple weeks i have had to log in thru my name and password each time i want to read the forum. i am using vista and recently did an update but this problem does not occur anywhere else.

cookies have been cleaned out.

any thoughts?

I have been having the same problem just thought it was because I have not posted on here in sometime. Did y'all miss me?

Same thing happening to me. Using firefox haven't tried t n explorer.

got this message today after entering my name and clicking "remember me" and NOT re-doing my password.

i use firefox on top of vista.

Jack, you have to enter your password. Make sure you have allowed ExpeditersOnline.com to place cookies on your machine. That is what the problem is.

cookies are enabled. this is the only site i have a problem with logging into. i will try changing the password.

Lawrence, ask your site admin about it and have them see how many have had to long back in.

This happens when the server has issues and hiccups, cookies are overwritten with incorrect info or given a short TTL.

A couple weeks ago when I closed the browser and re-opened it...JuJu would be logged in....I logged her off and put me in and click on remember me....close the browser and come back re-open bam JuJu is logged in again...this went on for about a week...so finally I emptied my cookies, cleared my own cache and all is ok again...

We are currently doing some updating to our system... please be patient!

FWIW, I am running Windows XP 2002 service pack 3 and Firefox 3.0.17 and do not have any trouble getting logged out.

Jack, are you able to fill in the blanks and log in when this happens?

I am running FireFox 3.5.7 and vista service pack 2. Never had a problem with this same setup until around the New Year. To answer the question you asked Jack I can always log in it just does not remember me when I close the browser.

Sorry to say it is back to not saving my log in info again. It did for a while yesterday but as of this morning it no longer is.

I think this is a "local" problem. I run IE, FF and Safari browsers- and we can't duplicate this. While we are doing upgrades behind the scenes it shouldn't effect this.

The "remember my login" is strictly a local feature - your machine has to allow us to place a cookie on your machine (and keep it). If you are clearing, cache, history and cookies regularly - it would remove the cookie.

yesterday i was on eo. i have it in my history. today i had to log-in to the site. i am on the verizon mifi. i will try the local provided wi-fi next.
