locked out at the consignee

Today I took a load delivering in San Antonio. As I approached the consignee I observed a police car parked in the center of the intersection nearest them. I pulled into the drive and there was a pickup stopped at the call box by the gate. A few moments later a police car with lights flashing that turned the corner I just passed pulls up inside the gate. Soon after that a police helicopter started circling. That was followed by a k9 unit showing up. A few more police cars showed up. It turns out a police officer was shot on the road running behind the facility and one of the two criminals jumped the fence to the consignee. We sat outside the gate for over an hour and then everyone left but without a criminal in tow.

Leo

Where would we be without a little 'blood pressure' raising incidents. Does Murphy's Law come into effect here??

I arrived about an hour early and got in about a half hour after my appointment time. It didn't bother me at all on the delivery aspect of it since I qc'd my arrival and was on time in the computer. I was/am really angered about the police officer being shot. I'd have joined in the search if I wasn't illegally forced by liberals to have no more than a tire thumper and a spray can of starter fluid. I'd like to think it came to a good conclusion like the bank robber in S.C. but as far as I know the shooter is still alive.

Yeah, well, just try to get on a plane carrying a tire thumper and a can of spray starter fuid.

Do you have any idea what MacGyver could do with a tire thumper and a can of starter fluid?

Well, and a paper clip? :D

"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, the liberals won't let me keep an AR-15 in my truck!" :'(

Hey, Leo, with the Senate and Congress under conservative Republican control since Newt Gingrich put forth his "Contract On America", your "it's the liberals fault" whining rings a little hollow!!

I'll bet the cops would be just thrilled to have an armed civilian inside their search perimeter!

Rex, while not a certified peace officer I've had more training than the average citizen and am confident I'd make the top 50% even against certified LEO's. The restrictions I'm speaking of go back farther than your post suggests. Unfortunately the so called 'conservatives' in power now are primarily useless and worthless just like the remainder of the useless and worthless batch who aren't so called 'conservatives' so they haven't righted the wrong.

But in the end, you are a civilian. Let the cops do their job.

Which makes your whining about liberals all the more misplaced! I think it would be more accurate if you were to complain about the people who have had the opportunity to right your perceived wrong and not done so, than to continue to snivel about the original alleged perps.
