For routine shipments 99% of the time the shippers and receivers will do the loading and unloading . Some carries have special divisons that will require you to do the labor. However this usually pays well.

I remember a few years ago they got up to 90 in Pt.Barrow (most northern point in AK).

I read that Fairbanks has some of the most drastic changes in seasonal tempurature in the world, reaching 90 in summer and as low as -70 in winter. Guess it'd be a bit hard not to idle your truck there

Every once in a while it ll speed up the process considerably if you help out but like was mentioned you back in they unload or load and generally speaking it s quick.
