Happy or content drivers is all I ever hear about L1.

If you limit yourself to a specific area, you will limit your income. Discuss this with your owner. He will advise you as to how he wants his truck run.
As a team, you have more options available to you that a solo does not have. Don't focus on miles per load. You could run two 300 milers on your shift and still have your co-drivers shift available for additional loads. One load leads to another and another and so on.
This year has not been typical, so the more flexibility you have the better your chances are for a good revenue income. A hot area one week can be a slow one next week, so there are no concrete answers to your questions.

I got an offer to drive s/t team for a fleet owner. To all who drive for them or has driven for them, do they keep their drivers busy? What are their slow periods? What are hotspots for them as far as their customer base? All input would be appreciated!
So that would make me like the candy man? LOL. (Wait for the Ragman...wait for it)
We have a great burial spot for the ones that even try to leave....hence you'll never hear from them....
