If the drive thru line at Tim Horton's is short sometimes I can get to the office 3 minutes early.

I feel the same way about the never-ending line inside the Flying Pilot with only one cashier behind the counter...

As far as the drive thru is concerned, I choose to walk inside, needing as much excercise as possible...but you drive an investment that needs to be guarded at all times...

Well Matt is talking with Qcomm to see if we can fulfill some of your guys wishes about getting certain things moved to the main screen on workflow. More to follow.
One of the issues that needs to be looked at is what the "Customer Ref #" actually is, with regard to the drivers. It's a number used by dispatch, not the drivers, and it's a number we don't even need to see.

For example, I recently picked up a load with the Customer Ref # of:
974314390000-LEWRO

It's clearly a made-up number that the shipper has no clue about.

The 974314390000 (almost certainly) represents Vitran's PRO number with two inexplicably added zeroes to the end of it, and the LEWRO represents the LEWIS COMPANY in ROME, Georgia.

I showed that number to the shipper when they asked for a pickup number and, predictably, looked like a doofus when the annoyance of the shipper was evident.

Incidentally, the Customer Ref # for the consignee was
974314390000-PCCPI
First 3 letters is the consignee and the last 2 letters is city in which they are located.

So, what I'm saying is, we need a separate field for the shipper's pickup number, one that's clearly labeled as "Pickup #."

We could also use a company discount with Verizon. :D

Okay, here it comes.....lol

Get the buckets or bags out, whatever youre receptacle of choice.....

The pom-poms are coming out....

I had the best week last week of the whole year so far. Thank you, God, Larry Stunson and the bidding team, for blessing me with this load !! It was perfect. Lightweight, and plenty of time to do it, to where I can actually enjoy the trip, and the pay was above average. I was literally speechless when I got the call and Larry was telling me about it.Still am, actually.Strange how things work out for the better in the long run.

It is so easy for some of us to become so depressed or in a bad mood or whatever when things become slow: I am very guilty of that myself. This is something I need and will work on.During the run I was thinking how I actually was thinking while sitting for days at a time, instead of trying to be more positive and have more faith, both in dispatch, the bidding team, and most importantly, God.

A lesson well learned.

Welp, after reading that post, the only conclusion I can reach is that God, Little Larry, and the bidding team all hate me.

One gets used to it. Especially after the big guy smacks you around a bit...

Customer ref# on my screen now is theNLM number

Then instead of Customer Ref # it should say NLM #

Need fields that say:
Customer Ref #
NLM #
Pickup #
AWB #

That way there is no confusion on anybody's part as to what number is what.
