yep...a real necessity...right up there with eating and paying the bills....
just what a person needs....taped evidence that when someone slammed on the brakes you were a little too close and get charged for such.....no thanks.....it goes both ways.

Ken, you're just too much of a tightwad...lol.besides, I don't tailgate, as it is a big petpeeve of mine...Always doing my best to keep assured distance..$86.00 isn't going to kill me..

You mean a belt tensioner and idler pulley and belt?? The new ones have been in the van for over a year now..at least I don't need to be approved by someone else to do what I want on my van..lol..

You turn things around so much..i told you, which I regret sharing anything with you, as telling you anything obviously means the whole friggin world will now know, that after food and all bills were paid for the week that I had 14 dollars left..but, I am now paid on.my bills till august..if that is okay with you..besides I think you should worry more about yourself and the way you're van looks before you even begin to worry about mine, which looks twice as good as yours, even though it is older..and in near perfect mechanical shape..try getting a wash once in awoke and washing that rust off..then get a washout done on the interior while they are at it..no excuse for that..at all..you still want to tango? Keep it up..

Wooooo hoooooo!! Yeee- haaaaawww!! Yippiee kaaayyyy yaaayyyyy!!!! Swiisshhh!! Slaaamm duuuunkkk!!!!......okay, I'm done for now....lol....
I feel the same way. Last Friday afternoon I delivered a load from Laredo to Smyrna (less than 2 hours from the house). 1113 miles that never got "bumped up" like they said it would, so I ran it on the yellow Penske van cheap. But that's OK, because 10 hours later I got a recovery barn burner, 51 DH for 124 loaded from Manchester to Leesburg, AL (5 hours from the house). Then I sat for 2 days and got one 64 DH for 192 loaded from Rome, GA to Piedmont, SC (8 hours fro the house). I then sat for 2 days and got one that "don't know what happened but we've GOT to get this covered" 47 DH for 121 loaded from Greenwood, SC to Sumpter, SC (10 hours from the house). SO these short loads and all this layover pay more than makes up for the Smyrna load.

I got 3 calls yesterday about loads, one to Troy, OH and two to Laredo, but we didn't get those. Apparently God, Little Larry, nor Tim were involved with those. That, or they still hate me.

I mention distance from the house because, as it so happens, I get blood drawn on Monday and a doctor's appointment on Tuesday, so all week I've been inching farther and farther away, so that now I get to DH 600 miles home, just like my hero OVM does.

Ah, the Expediter Life. :D

Incidentally, I parked last night at the Walmart in Sumter. I awoke late this morning to find myself parked right in the middle of a Classic Car Show. 57 Chevy parked to my right and a 54 Nash Rambler on my left. It's like I'm part of the show!

I asked these very polite people why they didn't bang on my door and ask me to move.

"Your Sprinter makes all of these look even better."
