John,
You should know better than that, never call a coney a 'chili dog'. A coney is a coney, a chili dog is ... well ... something else.
No definitely not now! Can't wait to get this stuff off of my van thoAbout time ya worked instead of whining..
ya still going back to Panther now?...*LOL*
John your a all around great guy. I have seen the great things you do for your staff and drivers. Anyone that lets a driver use a company truck for a few weeks because his owners truck is down. Then don't charge him one dime for running the truck is a great man in my book.

Shadow you earned it buddy!
Greg,
To respond to your comments in the ASE thread, I will respond here. I don't like commenting in great detail when it is a thread involving another carrier. As well it is no secret that I will not use this forum to directly recruit. I am fine with building a good company name and reputation by being a long term contributor to this web site.
You are correct as far as the accessibility and value of technology. The market delivers more and more technology on simpler, and more cost effective platforms everyday. This has goods and bads to it. Sometimes the barriers to entry can be to low, such as when the credit markets allowed everyone and their brother to get in business no matter what their credit looked like. That flood of entries can be detrimental in creating an over supply in the market. As well new entrants have a tendency to not fully understand their own cost structures. We have lost bids to companies like this numerous times through out the years. We have been beat by rates that simply cannot be operated profitably. I would rather walk away than simply turn numbers. These companies or new entrants tend to have a limited shelf life. Especially in tighter credit markets where they can not properly fund their own growth and ongoing capital requirements. I have seen carriers who can not keep partner carriers paid on a timely basis, but yet spend money to grow. Growth uses and constricts cash flow. Often times growth can be the very factor that kills a company.
Technology has changed the game. Today small companies can compete on some levels with much larger players. This last 12 months we have spent more money on technology and hardware than asset based rolling stock. This is the first time in our company history that this has happened. It is amazing and fascinating how this industry continues to change and evolve.
What are the age limits at Load 1 for s/t? Sorry if I missed this question, but I couldn't read all 30 pages.

No, underdog77 is not a Load One unit. But you are right, I have to thank him. He started what has become the 6th most viewed thread ever on EO!!!!!

It is good to see an owner of an expedite company be involved here, and it seems that most are thrilled to be with your company, that is something to be proud of. Congratulations!
The problem with this thread from my standpoint is that there is way to much 'chit chat'. At least one poster asked a question that has been asked and answered already, but said he didn't want to go thru 30 pages of posts.
Almost ten percent mention OVM shorts. That was funny a year ago but it is really wearing thin.
What about my chilli dog? That question musta got lost in the 30 some pages.
Update...The T/T question is for a driver buddy, he has a thing for the nicer older trucks.
Something very similar to this... ( He looked at it once, it is cherry...Not sure if still available, but I hope you get my meaning ) it falls outta the 7 year zone, but way inside your good/beautiful truck criteria.
