IMO today's oppressors, in the free world, are the do-gooder organisations ..... Health & Saety, Human Rights etc, etc, etc
Good ideas at first, but way over the top now.

Wow... that definition fits the government to a tee. I've been examining Common Law vs the corporate law we are voluntarily under, and it's astonishing how they get us to submit (give up our free will) to them. Fascinating stuff.
For example, driving is a right according to the 14th Amendment (right to travel). By submitting (again, giving up your free will) an application (meaning to beg), you are asking for a license for said right, thus making it a privilege.
Another example, which would be far-fetched to some, would be the act of registering your child when it is born. You wouldn't think registering something would be giving it over to another entity, but think about it... when you register your car, the government has a "right" to take that car if you don't do what they tell you. Same with children. It all goes back to the original use of when docking a ship, you register it with the dockmaster; or, give it over to him for safekeeping. When you register something to the government, you are essentially asking them to take guardianship of it, if they deem you are unable to.
