Here's a story for all you closet Limbaugh listeners.

I wonder if he knows Costa Rica has socialized health care?

Rush Limbaugh vowed to leave the US if Obama's health care reforms come into effect. Limbaugh told a caller to his radio show today that if "this passes and it’s five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented—I am leaving the country. I'll go to Costa Rica."

I doubt he's leaving although I'd give it a little more potential than bigmouth Baldwin if Bush is elected.

No ice fishing in Costa Rica, Rush can go if he wants. So can Obama. And all tv talking heads, and the congress, and the senate and any number of other criminals.

Sounds like someone is hearing what they want to hear verses what was actually said.

This story is so misrepresented and taken out of context it's hard to know where to begin. To paraphrase, it started with a segment of his show that dealt with what the doctors and insurance companies in the US would do if Obama and the govt. takes over health care. Limbaugh theorized that some of them would go across the border to start up private practice clinics where people could go to get "pay for services" treatment and bypass the govt bureaucrats. He stated further that Costa Rica would be a likely place for these clinics and that he would go there rather than subject himself to US govt. care.

The facts are easily accessable on Limbaugh's website.

No, I'm Not Moving to Costa Rica

I'm with Rush. I am about (index finger and thumb 1/4 inch apart) this close to selling everything and living on a sailboat in the carribean.

Think of it, fishing everyday in 85 degree weather, having no phone or responsabilities, doing whatever you wanted, banging some hot tropical ...... well never mind

Now that's funny right there.

Read the transcript smart guy. You obviously didn't listen to the program, and the junk you posted misrepresented what he said. You're actually claiming that a website like rawstory.com is a source of the gospel truth?? Now THAT is funny, if not pathetic.

Close but no cigar, I actually did listen to the show and listen to the blowhard everyday which I've mentioned many times in other posts and I did read the postscripts of the show. Oh what tangled webs we weave, I guess by you saying that the website I found the clip of Rush saying he would move to Costa Rica as not reliable shows that what's good for the goose is not good for the gander. Keep your chin up your Rush will be back on soon to make you all warm and fuzzy inside.

Told you. :D

A caller asked Limbaugh: "If the health care bill passes, where would you go for health care yourself?"

Limbaugh responded: "I’ll just tell you this, if this passes and it’s five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented — I am leaving the country. I’ll go to Costa Rica."

No mention of "where will you live?" or anything like that. It was a question about where the man would go to obtain health care, and it was part of a question that dealt with whether or not doctors would be forced into the federal program and not be able to have their own private practice.

When the two above quotes, the question and the answer, are pulled and left alone, out of context, it certainly appears that Rush said he was moving to Costa Rica, but that's not what was said when taken in context. The question, and premise, was that if doctors were forced to go into the federal program and not able to opt out of the government insurance pool, and not allowed to establish a private practice with private sector patients paying their own way, then where would Rush himself go for his own health care? And the answer was, if all this stuff gets passed an implemented, then he'd leave the country for his own health care, and that he'd go to Costa Rica to do it. Cuba and other places were also mentioned by Rush and the caller, in the context of health care, but at no time did Rush make mention of leaving the United States for anything other than obtaining health care.

You can believe with all your heart that 2+2=5, but regardless it won't change the fact that it's 4. People can take "I'm leaving the country," to mean something other than what was said in the context of how he said it, but that doesn't change the meaning of what he said. The facts are, the conversation between the caller and Limbaugh were 100% in the context of obtaining health care. Anyone who inserts some other context, or takes a couple of quotes out of context and then applies a different meaning to it, prefers their own fantasy to the truth.

And it's those very people, who confronted with the truth, either refuse to believe it, get pіѕѕed off, or both. You coming back with a personal attack about how smart I may or may nor be merely confirms the point I made: facts just pίѕѕ people off.

And just so you know, for the record, I'm not a Limbaugh fan in the least. The two quotes above, while accurate, were taken out of context and twisted into something else for a political purpose. Limbaugh is a master at doing the same thing. He does it to feed those who are desperate to be fed what to believe. He's very good at what he does, which is to keep people listening. But make no mistake, if it meant changing his political stance to keep people listening, because people want to be fed something else, he'd do it in a heartbeat.

But, what do I know? After all, I'm not smarter than that.

Come on guys, does what any of these talking heads on either side of the political spectrum say really matter? It is OUR responsibility to observe what is going on and make up our own minds. They are all nothing more than Oprahs and Jerrys. Just spouting off for ratings. They all just play to a bunch who agrees with them for the most part. Just the way it is. Some in here are putting way to much importance on their shows.

If that is the case..what you are saying is the Chefs postings are all meaningless drivel and should be not commented on and ignored....Just because it is from the left doesn't make in right(theres a joke in there)...Most are from the Hannity/Beck groupies..
