Lights in the mirror

All of these new super European headlights now out there are a real problem in the side mirrors. I have tried several methods to reduce their effect but have not come up with a good method as yet. Anyone have a good solution for reducing their effect?

Wonder why the electronic auto-dimming technology has not made it from the rear-view auto mirrors to truck mirrors?

I have a small window shade [roll up] affixed just above the driver's side window. It works for sun and those annoying superbright headlights, too.
It has a suction cup on the bottom to hold it in place - I just need to remember to loosen it & push the button to roll it up before putting the window down.

Just curious is it the headlights themselves or bad aiming? I haven't really noticed a problem in the sprinter. But don't get me started on those lights they use in construction zones these days.

I've noticed that many 'luxury' cars and SUVs have incredibly bright lights the past couple years, and my west coast mirrors aren't powered. When someone is approaching in the next lane, it can be blinding.
It's particularly annoying when they just 'hover', like they don't want to pass, but they don't want to be behind me, either.

Ziggy it is both bright and misaimed. In addition to the headlights there are those fog lights many people use on clear nights that are stronger than my factory headlights.

I once had one aircraft landing light on a car and you can see a very long way, incredible. I need to get another one, but use with caution, they make auto headlamps seem they are not working...

Ya thats what We need on the truck for those long loads up to Canada where the roads are not marked and its pitch black at night especialy up in Alberta Area. But if they are not legal then Na I dont want nothing to do with them I wonder the Company I drive for knows if they are legal or not.
