Hmmmm... Here's my question. Say you're an O/O w/ authority, your own ins, IFTA and all. If u haul a load for a company that uses QC, would that company require a QC on your truck ??
No they do not. It's because if you have your own authority, you not just an O/O, you are legally a carrier, which all of the same rights and privileges granted by the FMCSA. You can be a one or two truck company, the Fed sees you no different than if you were Bolt, Panther or Landstar.
You might have an agreement where you must call the broker or carrier every so many hours and update your position if you are under load. But no Big Brother on your roof.
