Leased to 2 Carriers ???

Hmmmm... Here's my question. Say you're an O/O w/ authority, your own ins, IFTA and all. If u haul a load for a company that uses QC, would that company require a QC on your truck ??

No they do not. It's because if you have your own authority, you not just an O/O, you are legally a carrier, which all of the same rights and privileges granted by the FMCSA. You can be a one or two truck company, the Fed sees you no different than if you were Bolt, Panther or Landstar.

You might have an agreement where you must call the broker or carrier every so many hours and update your position if you are under load. But no Big Brother on your roof.

A POINT OF INTEREST :
Last carrier I lease to , made sure in writing and doing the orientation ,
that it is clear that the truck cannot be loaded with anything els but the loads being dispatch throw the carrier .
last week i spend some time reading throw my current carrier lease agreement , expedite.
not only that it allowed , but it is also specific .
all the trucker need to do is to cover ( or take-off) the carrier dot# and name . base plate (if furnished by carrier )
and to have an alternative dot # , insurance ext.
can Email the contract if needed.
when i asked the recruiting ,
i was told that it is a company policy and good for every one , as long as the O/O continue paying the premium .

No TennHawk No one is trying to stir the pot. He is leased so he claims on to FedEX CC and Land Star. The only Qual Com he has is from Fed EX that answer is for U TERRYRENE, and He get his load from landstar off a load Board on the NET. Now again as I stated he said He got Magnetic signes and Switches them for whom he is doing loads for. My Qustion was on the LOGS, How can you be off duty for FedEX on a log but Running for Landstar. I dont think U can as the Log should be Continuess and only show swithching carriers. In any case I can see the closest one on here was moose. But again My qustion was on the LOGS.

From what I gather here Neither does any one here with exception of Moose. But Moose explaine the leagality 0f the Logs. as that makes 3 pages of log for one for FEd one for Landstar and one for Him.

It may be that he is running for FedExCC all the time with Landstar loads only being brokered loads . In that situation he would only have to send FedExCC a copy of his logs . If he was leased to Landstar he wouldn't be getting loads from a load board .
