I am new to Panther and have two cargo vans on now, that really arent making any money. I would like to try the lease to own progtam and possiblyy put two tractors on. Does anyone hav any feed back good or bad? Has anyone tried the program yet? I would like to know how long before I would see any money off of them, and if the payment has a grace period?

Once again I must quote Rex Campbell: "Don't lease purchase from the man with the strings in his hand." I don't know how Panther operates their lease purchase program, but common sense dictates not to get into a borrowing situation with the entity that controls your source of income. Being leased to Panther would you except a mortgage on your house from them?

I'm but a lowly cargo van owner leased to Panther. But I have enough sense not to get fully into bed with the powers that control my loads and revenue.

You may also consider my suggestion.......never own any more trucks than you can drive by yousef at the same time.

Excellent advice from Mr. Ford that also pertains to leasing a truck from a carrier.

I once had three tractors. The idea was if I had more trucks I wouldn't have to work as hard. What a joke.I ended up working harder.I have found the more a person makes, the less thay want to work. And in my case ,because the ones in my trucks didn't need much, they didn't work much. Not fun having dispatch calling and wanting you to get a team to do a load they don't want to do.
I sold 1 truck to the driver, sold 1 truck and bought a refer trailer, kept 1 for me and have lived happily ever after.
If you must have a fleet of trucks,be the boss and don't drive any of them.

You are NOT leasing through Panther its a company they have partnered up with if lets say you are 6 months in and panther ain't for you truck follows you.
