Coming from southern California it cracks me up to hear people say fixin

Do you know what "ouchonder" means yet? If you like the southern 'fixin', then you will love the ghetto 'fittinabee', which just expounds upon 'fixin'. Defines it just a bit more clearly.

"Fixin": to prepare, get ready or on the precipice of performing an action. Short for "Fixing". Proper Southern U.S. usage example: "I'm fixin to go to WalMart"

"Fittinabee": extension of Southern U.S. "Fixin". A term used throughout U.S. 'ghettoes'. Proper Ghetto usage example: "I'm fitanbee goin to tha club"

This isn't racist, it is true. Anyone who is familiar with the South U.S. or ghettoes knows this is a part of daily language. What a culture shock for my boyfriend when we started dating, he was born and raised in "White bread and mayonnaise land", a bedroom community of Detroit that is still to this day isolated from the city.

My little slang sayings amuse him, he has even started using them. Sometimes still in the wrong context, but he's learning.

"Ouchonder"example: my boyfriend asked me, "Where did you park your truck?" I reply: "Ouchonder by your polebarn"

Southern U.S. and Ghetto are really quite simple to understand in a short period of time. They are very similar, however Ghetto is customarily peppered with those words EO mods don't much cotton to.
