Ok guys, Ive tried to give some leeway in this forum, even with language, but its not working. Please give all the "almost" vulgarity a rest. Even if its masked like "azz, sh!t, d**n", etc... you, all know the rule, or you wouldnt be masking it to slip it in.

Theres not a ton of rules in here, surely you can live with this one.

Oh no, I see a Howard Stern moment coming:eek:

Some of the words that are masked really aren't bad
like the a(mule,donkey) word, some words are bad.(no example needed) I sometimes see my words edited when they shouldn't be, I know it's a computer so I let it go.

The Soapbox was never meant to be part of the General Forum...it is almost a stand alone entity...more latitude is given then in the General Forum because, well some get real passionate about their beliefs and opinions...

With that said...lately there seems to be more fancy editting to get around the filters...that equates that you know, them words are not allowed...it is intentional...

All we ask is civility and respect for fellow members...

Remember the old adage I think we all were taught...
If you can't say something nice.....??

Me neither but by allowing it....it seems to lead to more inventive uses of some other words and so forth....some seem to have no self control...the only way they seem to be able to express their thoughts are through this method, rather then using the appropriate words correctly...

I think it is called..."Vocabulary Challenged"

My wife says when she was a kid, they would get in trouble for saying something sucks.
I guess that was considered swearing at one time.

Ever observe a child that gets away with saying a "bad" word that goes uncorrected......they say it over and over again....till they are told....

It is an eclectic mix of personalities from many different backgrounds. Environment during formative years plays a major role. I normally type differently than I speak. I was raised in the 'hood with southern parents. So you understand I at times have a little SEMO/ Ghetto slip through in posts. In day to day informal conversation, a WHOLE LOT of SEMO/Ghetto gets thrown about...and you know what kind of blue language comes from the 'hood.

I consider myself pert near well rounded.

Yeah, u all straighten up, mercy, goodness, I am appalled, upset, nervous, sweating, I have a headache over this and I will do my best to help all wayward word challenged folks in here to do what is best for the public domain. No more symbols of fun, no more intense expressions on how u feel. lol. I will be taking names and grading the statements.

All in all, this is still a fun and interesting place.:D
