Lake Erie calls!

Sounds like a good day out. Glad ya got on and off the water in good shape.
It was windy inland I can only imagine it was blowing out there. Crossing the Maumee on 75 this afternoon looked like a ton of mallards in the river..More then I usually see in that area. A lot of geese feeding at the grain bins down there also. It would be a sight to be there for the fly off in the morning.

On the Geese I know your not setting up for them just wonder if ya ever get any pass shooting or knock any down while out on the open water.. Im sure they work the shore line more then the open water.

We had our first REALLY good hunt this season today. We took 22 birds, a full limit would have been 30. We SHOULD have had those other 8, BUT, rookies tend to miss. LOL!! I took my limit of 6 birds, 3 blue bills and 2 buffies. The birds flew all day and worked the decoys really well.

I sure wish you could have been here today, it was PERFECT. Good wave height and the PERFECT spot for conditions. Days like today are rare. Good friends, both old and new. Mix in a zillion birds and it just gets no better!
