TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Companies all over the country are teaming up to help find a cure for breast cancer.
Bolt Express, a trucking company owned by women off Suder Avenue in north Toledo, is lending its support to the cause, too.
Two truck drivers she works with at Bolt Express have joined a unique cancer fighting effort.
Jeanie and Suzette, will drive two semis decked out in pink in the national Convoy For A Cure, next month in Texas.
The all woman convoy of rigs is aimed at raising awareness about breast cancer.
Michelle Dunn, who works at Bolt Express, was diagnosed with cervical cancer about a year ago and understands the struggles those battling breast cancer face.
Dunn says caner is hard, but that maintaining a positive attitude and surrounding yourself with the right people is crucial to survival. says there is something each person can do to help fight cancer.
Cancer is a cause fellow employees like Renee Sloan are willing to donate towards because her friend has breast cancer.
"It's very hard, but we all support her," said Sloan. "We have a neighborhood group that gets together. We're actually walking in the Race for the Cure and we have our little luncheons and things like that to help support her to get her through this tough time."
The group hopes to 4,000 to $5,000 locally -- and they are already halfway to their goal.
