keeping your butt cool in summer while driving?

At flying J for $32 i bought a seat that has a mesh like cover outside of a flexy soft plastic "vented honeycomb" design. the cover is washable and comes with a second more meshy cover too. it seemed to help in 75 -80 degree weather without running the a/c. but i know it wont in the "hot" stuff. Without spending hundreds of dollars if not a thousand on and a/c seat, does anyone know of something better than the flying J cushion? i'd like to find something similar to a heating pad style you can sit on that cools. thats right a butt fan.

One aspect of reducing perspiration is to decrease the contact area between your buttocks and seat.

Roho cushions are a standard in the medical industry.

For those folks who must sit in a wheelchair or lie in a bed for extended periods of time, Roho cushions greatly reduce the frequency of skin ulcerations that result from pressure contact.

Truck drivers sit for a long time. Roho has a cushion for us too!

I have an Airhawk cushion and every person who has ever ordered one has called me to say thanks for the tip.

Roho utilizes "Finger-Like" protrusions that evenly distribute the pressure contact between you and the cushion.

This allows for improved circulation, reduced fatigue, decreased leg pain and, yes, my buttocks feels much cooler.

Don't take my word for it.

Look up the ROJO trade name.

I worked in the medical community for a number of years and some of my "Private Duty" clients were paraplegic folks who were students at Wright State University. I would assist them with their personal care. Once they were in their wheelchairs, I wouldn't see them again until late evening when it was time for them to retire. They sat on the ROJO cushions for at least 8 hours everyday.

I can send you a PM with a driver's email and she can tell you her experience with the AirHawk cushion.

I knew a driver that rode on one of those inflatable, intertube looking donuts. But he had prostate troubles. I'm sure something like that would decrease your chances of getting henorodes. Alot of drivers have them even though they may not want to admit it.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ;)

Seriously though, sounds good! I used to have a cafe and one time during a heat wave, a woman wearing a pink leather-like outfit came in for lunch, and when she left, she left half her outfit there on the oak chair.. stuck.. took some serious scrubbing with sos pads to get it off.. hopefully her outfit wasn't ruined! Guess some butts are just hotter than others, hehe :)
