Congrats Man!

The multiple carrier thing really is no big deal. Just got to keep each company informed when you move and get a load. It is a 10 minute process. It is also very important that when a company is bidding a load for you that you allow them 15 to 20 minutes BEFORE you allow another company to bid for you.

Eclipse rocks, Blizzard will tell you like it is and let me know how you like On Dekk. Much success to you, pray hard and call anytime.
Thats what they said. Dispatch at eclipse the only rule she told me about her is that dont ever ever ever move a foot without telling her she said I can go to the moon to sit if i wanted just let her know cuz She says you wouldn't believe how many times people move a few hundred miles and dont tell me while im trying to make money for them and me. Doesnt make sense why you wouldnt update them lol wrong industry maybe? pray hard drive attentively smile and rock hard is my road moto lol

Always do its my best weapon yessss better than my mechete lol. Will be with exlipse on monday as well . So hopefully with the 3 companies together I can stay moving.

Eclipse is a very good company. They won an award on Sylectus for moving the most brokered freight and being one of the most trusted companies to broker your freight to in 2011. They have a lot of business!

Maybe it's you who makes him edgy. Afterall, staying with a company a whole 3 days before leaving could leave a guy with the ability to put others on edge.

I know a lot of people who have moved on from LRT because they were not treated right. That is not a made up thing. I was also talked down to when I worked for LRT. The one good thing about John at LRT is that he WILL get you long loads; he knows how to get freight. He just needs to learn how to talk to the drivers a little bit better.

I have experienced this a lot as the owner of the company; and it makes me even understand why John at LRT used to be so cynical about drivers. I've had drivers move 1k miles in 24 hours and not tell me and then a broker calls up with a load and I have to tell the broker that the drivers have moved and now that broker has not called me for a while. You really have to call dispatch and let them know what you are doing!

Not sure if it'd work, or if drivers are willing (I know.. calling is so simple..)

How bout a tracking app on their phone? This should allow everyone with the password to view where the van is.

Driver moves with out telling you at least you know. But don't send um any new jobs until they check in. They will figure it out. Many times the app and site are free.

good idea since most drivers have a android or iPhone heck the apps are cheap.

Company I worked with locally used "digital waybill"

I assume the company end had to pay for the software, but the driver side was free.

Tracked via GPS, and you got load offers on it. (you could also collect POD with a touch screen).

It's called macropoint and it only costs 20 bucks amonth per driver for unlimited tracking. It works on about 90 percent of the phone on the market. You can look them up on the internet. They also have a program where you can track a drivers phone on a 24 hour only basis for around 5 bucks a pop. This will be good when I broker my loads out to other carriers.

The macropoint system sends out emails every 30 minutes telling you where tha truck is so it eliminates the need to arbitrarilly call drivers for position updates. It frees up dispatch to focus on getting more loads as opposed to babysitting trucks. If i'm not mistaken LRT also uses this system now to track their drivers. Panther uses this system to track trucks when they broker their loads out to other carriers and it works well!

How does a driver delete it from his phone? It's not done via an app he can delete.

You know the problem with bad cops? They make the other 5% look bad.

We use macropoint on our outside carriers. As soon as the driver delivers, the tracking ends. It is only on a load by load basis.

You have to call back the macropoint phone number and it will give you an option to press to be removed from the tracking system. But generally the tracking period only lasts for 24 hours.
