It actually fits everybody. It's never about what you did or didn't do, it's about what the prosecution can prove.

Being “guilty” of a criminal offense means that one has committed a violation of criminal law, or performed all the elements of the offense set out by a criminal statute, and has been judged as having done so beyond a reasonable doubt, or has confessed to the crimes as charged. So, in the most fundamental terms, a person is guilty of violating a law, if and only if a court says so, regardless of whether they did it or not.

Judges and juries will never return a verdict of "innocent," the verdict will be guilty or not guilty.
