In Phillip SD...135 miles from home and getting dark...1 more night sleeping in truck...be home for breakfast!....
You can't drive 135 miles to get home to a nice pot roast. I'd have the coffee brewing and the hammer down!
not a chance..am toast now drove most of last night to deliver in KC and most of today to get this far...the last 135 is cross country....side roads...too much night life out here...lol...besidesI have a policy.. I only drive at night when being paid...call it "unfunded liability"
You're probably making a wise decision. Wildlife on the roads can do a lot of damage to a truck that doesn't have a cattle guard on it. I almost hit a horse in Montana once. I swear, when I'm on the road, everything is attracted to the front bumper of my truck. Have fun at home.
I35 last night northbound, north of KC car hit a BULL!! no kidding a BULL...itwas lying in the passing lane and the SUV was in the ditch...couldn't see much else about injuries....a big loss for that rancher tho...
Yeah. That sucks. I'm always freaking out when I see shadows in the bushes at night. After you hit two deer at 70 MPH, you don't want to do it again. Before I hit the deer's I was a fearless traveler on the highway; now I'm kind of flinching every time I have to drive at night. I hope the driver of that SUV came out of the deal alright.
Neighbor's kid had someone step out of the bushes and commit suicide on his conversion van hood.
It was messed up.

I'm on my way to Fort Hood and sitting outside Shreveport, LA with AC that is not working.

ohhhh yuck...
when it gets dark out here it is Really dark! roads have no shoulders and virtually no night traffic...then there is the animal predators...wolves, coyotes, bob cat and mountain lion...you could end up as Kitty poo....
