Chris, I like the Spartan body (wouldnt have to be a spartan...I would imagine any body mfr could put one together). My concern would be getting the specs I would want. If I were looking at a used van with a spartan body, I would be willing to compromise some depending on the price.

If buying new, I would be pretty picky about a few things...13' length min...70" door height min...50" between wheels wells min, and probably a few other things given some time to think about it.

I would suggest getting a spec sheet from the salesman and going over very closely. I would also run the idea past him of a special order box. If I could get the Spartan body with MY specs and save some money, I would be all over it.

I would like to see if they could make one with an aluminum body, aluminum swing doors, etc....aluminum wheels, as light weight as possible because these frp ones are heavy in nature.Crossmembers, aluminum, every 12" on the sides and on the roof.

Chris,

I think the spartans don't get nearly the fuel economy of the cargomaxx.

With the cruise on 63, I can get close to 15 mpg with mine, not as good as a cargomax, but not bad for what this is, as old as it is.The 14.9 was with a 2,500 load on it.

What matters is true fuel milage. Like an actual average over three months.

LOL....this undisclosed and over here, going there, stuff just ain't right...I like the old way better...

It's pretty sad when we are that way with each other as well. What is going on, with everyone being so secretive? I have heard so many drivers recently say how they are sticking to themselves......Parking away from everyone, etc...We are better than that.

Some just tire of the bull, the whining, the bragging the know it alls, etc. It is a personal choice some make to not partake, nothing wrong with it.

I don't understand it myself my opinion its not a big issue who has a better run or who has more loads or who makes more money than I do. Its expediting where you at the right place at the right time on every load. I know some other guys will do better than me and I know some will do worse than me. Its apart of life lol

Well, if I ever did something to offend anyone, I want to know about it, in someway, so I can apologize and correct it.I can't fix what I don't know what's broke.Just saying.

IMHO, we let other people get to us. People often find it easy to "dislike" others when they are happy or doing well or don't bash a company all day. I agree with Chris, some will do better, some will not. Very often it is nothing other than dumb luck, right time, right place. We have ALL worked hard to make this company what it is. Others would love to see us fail, but that is for their own self satisfaction. We have always taken the high road, and I don't want to change that. Yes, we need to watch how much detailed info we put out on here. We need to do that because some things are proprietary to the company. We don't need to give our competition something they can use to sell against us.

My opinion, to hell with it. I refuse to change. I could easily let a lot of things bother me, but I don't. We all have good days and bad days. We are all working hard for success. We all care and believe in what we are doing. We are not in a perfect business, by choice. No one chooses to expedite or pay for a premium service. We are the best choice in bad situations for customers. Good or bad in anyone else's eyes.....we are Load 1! Love us, Hate us but deep down we both know the truth.

I am sincerely pleased when others do well, and don't feel it detracts from my opportunities in any way.
Even when they drive for Load 1.

We feel the same. Don't really care what others do or how much better. Glad for anyone who does good and wish we could help the ones who aren't.

This thing we do is really a matter of being in the rite place along with a little pettern recognition. But as a wise old man told us years ago

Expediting is just another form of legalized gambling. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose.

A lot of this secrecy comes from people being run in on top of deliberatly. Therego, if you don't know where i am, you cant. Personally, we would never and if we did we would probably give up a load to someone who was already there. The dwell time thing is what it is but using it as a tool to take a load away from someone isn't rite. Just our opinion. This is what is behind the secrecy and alot of wandering, paranoid minds.

Remember people, we are load one.
Be proud of it even if we aren't perfect.
We are !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got persnickity....:)

It is like most of life, things always runs in cycles. I think most of us slow down or even stop posting from time to time then we pick back up. It isnt necasarily anything personal with Anyone it is jus lifes ebs and flows. In many ways it is truly like a family, we get mad at our brother and stop talking for a while then one day someone picks up the phone calls the other move on leaving what bothered you in the past.

Your focusing as are others on who is getting loads that upsets some, it is more than that. As they say just let it slide, all will be fine.
