Just got to the consignee at the Marriott in Melville, NY (Long Island). Sqweaked thru the GW around 5am no problems. Now waiting for the production crew of a certain "job swapping" reality show to wakey wakey from their nice hotel rooms and offload their equipment. Oh Fort Mill, SC. 704 miles @ $1 plus 62 hotel delivery fee, $92 for boroughs, and $46.50 for Northeast Tolls. Not a bad gig at all!

In Laredo since Friday morning. My disp disappointed me in the same day... he didn't book a load because those legal thieves named brokers asked for $100 less on a run goin' to GA, so here I am enjoying the friendly Laredo weather...

It's hot and I have no working APU. We will see how cool it gets tonight. There is NO way I could sleep in this truck now!

You are a tougher man than me. Diane and I say that if we have no generator, we have no truck. If our generator crapped out totally, we'd go out of service immediately to drive to ARI in Indiana (our sleeper manufacturer) to get a new one put in. If it failed such that it could be fixed, we'd find the nearest repair facility and get it done. Trucker tough we're not.

We will be looking into either a different used or a new APU soon. We also have to buy either a reefer engine or a new reefer by the end of the year or skip CA.

We picked up this morning in LA and deliver in the morning in Mesa, AZ. Sitting at the "J" by Danny's right now. Parked in between a Panther and FDCC straight trucks. HOT here.

Flying J Carlisle, PA. Whoever the Panther driver was that pulled in right beside me I really don't feel like bullcrapping tonight or smelling exhaust fumes! Nite y'all!

Did FedEx change its policy? I thought that if you were not Calfornia compliant you would not be TVAL flagged at all.

In Tucson at the Tripple T.

That is not what they told me. They said that it is a business choice baised on each truck owners business plan. They are aware that with many good, but older trucks, it would not be a good choice but the truck is still valid for other work. They are not forcing retro fit or replacement. Who knows if it will change again?

Not all that far from you. Got Phoenix as our lay over. Might get to see you guys if things fall right.

Picked up a CV load 2 miles from my home in Milwaukee going to Wetaskiwin AB Canada. Over 1,550 miles and paying over $1,800. Then I'll dh down to the J in Calgary and wait for a load on Wednesday. Left Monday night, deliver Wednesday morning. Had over 12 extra hours built in for resting. Wish this happened twice a week. lol
