Dropped my Waukesha delivery, within the hour I was picking up 6 miles away going to Centralia IL. I checked for trucks, only 2 vans sitting near Centralia. Nothing else within 50 miles of there. So should I sit there alone? Or, should I drop and run to St Louis and be with the other 80 trucks sitting there?

Hello Everyone. This is our first post on EO. We are back in expediting after taking a few years off to operate another business. Hope everyone has a safe and relaxing July 4th!:) Picked up a load near Toledo Fri for Mon Del in Ma. Decided to come by the house in Ct. Now at home in service. Oh we are in a D-unit, last time in expediting we were in a DR unit.

Would love to hear from you about your business transitions. Many of us had those thoughts of switching and get out of the driving. Beside starting another business, are there any other driving related issues that you decided to switch. And, for what reasons you have chosen to return to driving vs starting other non-driving business. We can certainly benefit from your inputs. Thanks in advance and welcome back.

LOL!!! I'm considering Bolt as a possible switch. I had a bad experience with them back in '09, but I guess things changed over there. At least that's what a friend of mine tells me...

Welcome GoGetter! A couple, eh? There are several wonderful couples that expedite and post here. The rest of us aren't quite partner worthy :grin:

Best o' luck to you in your return to the often wacky world of expediting. I agree with Mailer; would be interesting to hear about your transition out of, and back into, expediting.
