Highway Star and I hooked up in Laredo last night, and drowned our sorrows by making a run for the border. [Ok, we're old, so we took a taxi. 
]
It was a very hot night! For real: it was 108 in Nuevo Laredo, and the Star was able to keep me from swimming in the fountains with just one look, and two words: Mexican jail.
It wasn't as much fun as the Expo, maybe, but good friends are great to have, and EO is a great place to find some.

The two time that I was there, nobody wanted to go with me to the other side, so I didn't feel like going by myself. Was it really worth it? (I mean, anything beats sitting in your truck, but did you have fun?)

so true, I either need more local work or more OTR, sitting in the La-z-boy sure doesn'y pay the bills
When I crossed back into Canada tonight I gave Customs a description of said "flashy shorts" with the words DO NOT ADMIT written across the bottom. Good thing E-1 uses TST eh Ken?
