So, a funny thing happened on the way to having breakfast with my granddaughter this morning...THEY called. Yes, you know who THEY are. THEY had a load in Romeoville, Il (yes FECC peepz, it was THAT company) delivering in Indy on Tuesday morning and would I please go get it.
Being a sucker for a lady with a sob story, plus the rather large amount of money they were waving at me (something north of 1.70/mile) I said yes. I get there. Not much problem with traffic. I get my load. Its one refrigerator. Thats all. You can buy low end refrigerators new for what they paid me to haul this thing, and I'm thinking its gotta be the godfather of all refrigerators to justify what someone is spending to ship it.

It then took me TWO hours and ten minutes to get from Romeoville to I-65. I hate Chicago.

well got out of texas on tuesday and went to KC then from KC to louiseville and on the way to Louiseville I had a breakdown(wheelbearing)had to transfer to another van just glad I was only 130 miles away from drop off. Got home late thursday and thought I would take next week off.
So I was relaxing when the phone rang and was given florence KY to laredo thats delivering on monday. So I went ahead and changed the other wheel bearing which was a good thing because after taking it off found it to be really worn.So I hope the load gods get me out of laredo quickly.

Still sitting at the Freaking House...I'm majorly ticked off...It's been 3 freaking weeks tomorrow since I hit the deer and still havn't even started fixin the Sprinter yet...Why does all this crap always seem to freakin happen???

Why does it have to happen? Just the way things go sometimes, unfortunately.I'm sure all of the needed parts are coming over from Germany, as well.Hang in there, it'll get done soon enough.

I would love to take a long wheelbase sprinter and put a Ford diesel engine, trans, and rear end in it and then we'd have a real cargo van,not some saurarkraut engine !! lol.

Just bought a Ford walk-behind zero turn 48" cut,16 hp twin cylinder Commercial mower for $100.00.The gas line on it was dry-rotted, and it caught fire for a short period of time. The only thing it needs is new plug wires, and an air filter, and a few wires on the engine. It was a contained fire, didnt do much damage.Other than that, it turns over and looks like new.

Put a new belt on the van, new tires, and an oil change.washed up, inside and out, ready to go, pre-loaded for a Tues am run.

Going to light off close to $2,000 worth of fireworks tonight, it'll be a hoot !!

At the J in Carney's Point, NJ.
Now that Pilot has taken over you can see them going downhill faster than ever. The bathrooms are filthy, restaurant buffet is dryer than ever and the shower line is backing up. Can't wait for Denny's to move in. (Yuck)

Are these truckstops corporate owned or privately owned? If they are dirty and corporate owned I'd take pictures and forward them to corporate, I've been to some very clean truckstops and some filthy ones. Never had the need to use the showers, so I have never seen them.
Hmmm, just realized that sounded like I never take a shower, I do just not at truckstops
