The general public in this day and time doesn't seem to be able to distinguish between reporting the front page and the editorial page. In newspapers, it's a little easier to tell the difference; with broadcast media it's more blurred but it's still there. But as previously stated, there are too many journalism majors that come out of college wanting to "change the world". This mindset has permeated the entire management structure of so many in today's news media that objective reporting is almost a distant memory. Combine that with the audience they have who believe that "The View" and the "Daily Show" are their prime sources of news and we have a depressing picture of our younger voters and their expertise in what used to be called "civics". There's your recipie for the election of someone like Barack Hussein Obama.
