Jon Huntsman Jr

Huntsman Jr lost my interest. The liberal media is gaga over him. That can only mean one thing.

I originally thought Huntsman Sr was running. I saw him on GB a few times.

Herman Cain has my vote for the primary. I heard on a few AM talk shows that Cain has no chance. But, I disagree. We've gone so hard to the left that the pendulum has enough momentum to swing back to the right.

Cain can eat obama and his media alive........He'll get the minority and independent vote as well.

I like Cain but he will not get the majority minority vote, they will still vote in a large numbers for the Obama. All you have to do is look at any black candidate on the republican side for congress or senate. They still did not get a large minority vote, win or lose that vote is in the pocket of the liberals and is not going to change in significant numbers any time soon.

I really wanted to see Mitch Daniels run, he would have appealed to the larger segment of voters we need. I think it is still way to early to say who will get my vote, a lot can happen between now and the primaries.

I expect the candidate that is going to defeat Obama to announce he is running in late June or early July.

That gentleman is everything that Obama is not. Experienced to no end. An extensive formal education to go with that experience. He is honest and has based his entire life on service to the Nation and integrity. Assuming he runs, Obama would be toast.

The ReBumLiCans might not like him but who cares?

Seriously?

Cain can't approach Obama or his campaign. He may be appealing to many but the old guard in the republican party won't go for him and he is pretty much a no body.

The field for the republicans is bare, not one person on the list seems to be worth any political capital to run against Obama and at this juncture of the campaign, the party is not standing behind anyone or presenting anyone but going down a rather stupid path of having a primary to figure out who they want to run - a indication of a lost election. Unless the economy really dumps, or he has a serious medical issue, Obama has a very great chance of a second term.

Nope, don't agree, late June or early July before the tale is told. You guys are just not thinking outside of the box.

We're not thinking out of the box?

Really?

Just not true ... I say republicans dump the primary and get behind two candidates who you want to get elected and start campaigning.

If anyone is thinking within the proverbial box, it is the talking heads in the entertainment world who keep preaching how great one possible candidate is or another is AND those who are trying to run - not looking very good.

The sad fact is this, it will take the republicans until July of next year to figure out where they are going and with who. During that time Obama has 13 months of campaigning behind him and come the election, he will be in the forefront of the campaign, not equal to any other candidate. One really important reason is that we need to talk about solutuions NOW, not 13 months from now. Jobs and the economy will take front stage, nothing else will and if no one is willing to stick to their ideas as already proven with a few, they will not be much of a challenge for the messiah.

Remember I don't want the guy to win but right now the names being thrown around are the same names from the past with the same old crappy ideas that got the party to lose their chances in the past.

Come on Greg, you are better than that. You know how I think, who I am speaking about? Witness made a VERY lame attempt at it, got it wrong of course.

Think on it: The guy has never held elected office. Has extensive formal education. Has even more extensive experience. Started at the bottom and worked his was to the very top. Has military/business and education on his reseme. He is an honest man of great character and integrity.

Respected by many, if not most who know him. I even have a pick for his VP. I am working to draft the guy. I think he will end up running.

If he runs Obama is toast.

The mainstream ReBumLiCans won't like it but they will not be able to beat him back. The independents will vote for him.

Send me a PM with your guess. I want to see if Witness can get this one. Gotta drive up to post counts somehow.

I agree Greg......and what is so frustrating is that you have the Republicans talking about Obama and how he threw the Israeli's under the bus . Jobs, the economy and healthcare are the issues that should be front and center right now. Not how Obama isn't fit to be our President. The only Republican saying anything about the three things I mentioned is Paul Ryan, and he aint runnin'. Oh, you Rand Paul talking about these things but nobody is listening, except maybe you and I.

Jobs cannot be "created" by the government. NOT a Federal government issue beyond them getting out of the way of expansion. Health care is not a Federal Government issue other than getting out of the way of the solutions. The economy is tanking because of the actions of the Federal government over the last 100 years or so.

You have NO idea what people are listening too either. You only THINK you know how other think.

= Come on, I am working to draft a GOOD candidate. We think we can convince him to run. Waiting on your guess. Greg's too. Ragman played. Of course Ragman has a sense of humor. :p

Well I would normally agree with you on this but you know I do know what people are thinking, they want jobs and they want a stable economy. IT IS the same story with almost every federal election since the founding of the country.

NOT one candidate has yet stood firm on any issue to do with jobs, economy or anything else.

For example Paul Ryan's proposal is a cluster**** of a proposal and doesn't actually address the immediate needs - he could have summed up the entire proposal with this statement - we need to cut 10% of our budget NOW and another 10% next year. But instead he has typically tailored it to fit the political needs of people who may be the most upset.

Well if they had any integrity, they would not run. Sorry but it doesn't matter what they have right now, it is what they have to give up in order to be a politician.

So far very few people are willing to fight for a spot in our political system and than leave to return to a normal life. When you find someone who is willing to say to the country - I'm here to fix problems and not play games - maybe that person is fit for the office.

By the way, I'm clueless to who you are talking about.

Oh, I don't think that I agree with you on the idea that a person of integrity would not run. I believe that it can happen. I believe that it just may happen this time. I still expect to see him announce in late June or early July.

Keep playing Greg, I don't want to put the name out in here just yet, There is just NO fun in that. I would have thought, that based on things I have said in here in the past, that you could figure this one out. Must be the diesel fumes messing with your head. Still waiting on Witness, I think his "Allen West" guess was a ploy to make me come out with the name sooner!! :p

What?!?

Layout's out of the closet?

Dang gum right I am out of the closet!! The crapper overflowed and flooded the closet!! I HAD to get out!! LOL!!

You STILL have not given me a good guess on my choice of candidates for president in 2012. I can't believe you cannot get this one. It is SO easy.

Think on it. Remember Inman? Curry? Do the math!! I cannot believe that witness does not want to play. I really thought that you would.

So far, only Ragman has. It was a GOOD guess, wrong, but interesting. The ONLY guess that witness came up with was FUNNY!!

Another clue, he has NEVER held office but has been in public service for 4 presidents.

IF more clues are needed I will supply them. It would be a shame if I had too.

I am sure this isn't the name Joe has in mind, but i heard John Boltons name the other day...seems like a long reach for him to go there after the way his UN confirmation went...but he is a "tell you to F--well stick where the sun don't shine" kind of guy...while that is appealing..well you never know...

From listening to Joe over the years, i have think he is talking about Curry....don't tell us Joe, just play with for the next month or 2...:D by the way Joe, and this is not an attempt to draw the name out, but the Curry you have mentioned over time, is his 1st name Kevin? If so, hisn't he still in the military??

Nope, it was JERRY Curry. Look him up. Look up Bobby Inman, I served under him, a GREAT American. I have nothing but respect for him.

My idea of the ideal candidate embodies all of those people.

NO more clues other than, THINK OUT OF THE BOX!!
