Im not saying he inherited every problem, he has probably made some things worse, but he is trying and anyone that took that office would, Im just saying that yes he inherited the unemployment problem. and that never goes away quick, in fact it is always the last thing to come back after a recession

OVM, shut up - I don't need any more nightmares.

Oiler,
He could do a lot in his first year. The first thing he could have done is say this "I want to find out who in congress caused this" and then pushed the congress to clean house - Frank, Dodd and a lot of others should removed off these committees and censured.

He could have not dumped so much money into the economy which hasn't created jobs but instead paid back supporters.

He could have started by talking about tax cuts, making the Bush tax tiers perminate and do things that would help all of us, not just a few.

He could have been clear on what his administration will do, not talking about a number of things that cause too much ambiguity.

He could have instead of shutting out the republicans, told the dems either include them or shut up.

If you compare him to the Dems standard, FDR, he really hasn't done a thing.

Your kidding right?, anything bush did about the ecomony, through it out the window, plain n simple
this economy was not fixable in a yr and i dont care what you did to try n fix it

The republicans dont want to help they just want to disagree, cant let the dems get credit for anything, thats politics, got elections coming up you know, both parties could care less about what really happens, just rolling the dice that what they are doing will get them elected again

Government is the cause of the economic problems and can never be the solution. Government cannot not create real jobs, they have no money to do it with. They have no experience in business.

You have to go back to at least FDR to follow the government garbage that has lead us to this point. No one administration nor seated congress could have created the mess we have now.

I know one thing for sure, you cannot borrow your way to prosperity. I know, I tried it, it don't work. Barry and this congress are bankrupting us. That is 100% their fault. What they should have done was start cutting government spending, eliminating social programs and cutting taxes for those who WORK!!! The free ride for bums and malcontents must end!! You cannot sustain an economy with 30% or more of the population not paying the fair share. Those same 30% suck up most of what the rest of us earn. That is just not right.

He did one thing, he simplified the tax system to reduce the amount of tiers and lowered the rates. That's about it.

On his watch he let a lot of things happen that the dems wanted, he was the comprimising president, vetoed bills only when the republicans lost congress. Until then he and the republicans not just included the dems but gave in on many many issues that ended up in legistlation. They held the country hostage by filibuster court nominees until they got their way - a lot like what Shelby is doing right now, demanding stuff to vote to let the full senate confirm some nominees.

Bush is to blame for the lax oversight of congress with the banking committees. He is at fault for Fannie and Freddy by allowing democrats to run it and he is at fault for the idea that we can spend our way out of any recession. He did inherit BS and propganda like we had a surplus when in fact we had a projected surplus which was both handed to clinton and p*ssed away by the same congress.

The republicans dont want to help they just want to disagree, cant let the dems get credit for anything, thats politics, got elections coming up you know, both parties could care less about what really happens, just rolling the dice that what they are doing will get them elected again

It isn't that at all. See you seem to forget how they insisted on the dems to be included in debate when they were in power. You seem to forget that a lot of democratic created bills were signed by the republican president. You seem to be right that both parties don't really give a crap about the people, so I would say let's not reelect them - regardless who's party they belong to.
