The author of the piece lost me right there. That dog don't hunt. It simply would not, could not, have happened, period. It might happen with most Americans, Christians certainly, where they fret over their own, but not Muslims, not even school-aged Muslims. The notion of any concern by Muslims for the well-being of other Muslims acting in the duty of carrying out Allah's will is ludicrous, because they all know, without question, that whatever happened is Allah's will, and no one, not even a Muslim-in-training, is gonna express concern for the bombers because it would be a direct questioning of Allah. That's why even the Muslims who are moderates, not even remotely radical, aren't very vocal against jihad terror attacks, because they'll be seen, even by other moderates, as questioning Allah.
So, in answer to your question, the "real story" is one that isn't purely fabricated, one with verifiable facts like the teacher's name and the name of the school.

I didn't even make it that far ... on noting that the author was, in fact, the notorious hate-monger and certifiable lunatic Pamela Gellar, there was little if any point in me reading any further - I know what that particular flavor of wingnut is all about.

I saw that first thing, but I decided to not fall in and be a victim of the "Poisoning of the Well" quasi-ad hominem logical fallacy, where I dismissed out of hand what was in the piece solely because of who wrote it. So, rather than dismiss the piece as being ridiculously absurd fiction solely on the basis of the author being a certifiable bedlamite, I gave it an honest reading. Or at least attempted to, until I came upon the passage I quoted above. At that point, there was no reason to continue reading.
