Jersey Scales???

I heard the I 80 Delaware Watergap New Jersey scales were supposed to open October. I was wondering if they're up and running so I can plan an extra 2 hours into my trips if needed.

I figure they have been closed for the past couple years so when they do open it will be 24/7 and checking everybody. If they are open let me know how much time you waste there.

Thanks.
Bob Wolf.

Bob, i don't think so.
this is going to be an up scale scalehouse {!}
they have PrePass, slowing & accelerate lines, pre-screening scales, Empty lines, and parking area. they WILL change the sign once the ramp is full because there's no place for trucks to wait inline on the HWY.
heck, they fillup half of the Delaware river bunk to make enough room.
we all know who they are after,{a hint- none OTR/LH/Expediters trucks}

They did somthing similar in both directions on rt 78. The scales are open more on the east side than the west side, hose scales are not open 24/7, not even close. Maybe 2-4 hours a day.Since 78 is much wider & more accomodating that 80 I imagine the new scale on 80 will be open as much as 78.
