IVAN Strikes

"Ivan gave a preview of its power on Wednesday, with waves — some up to 25 feet — destroying homes along the Florida coast. Twelve-foot waves boomed ashore at Gulf Shores, eroding the beach. A buoy about 300 miles south of Panama City registered one wave of 50 feet high."

I hope everyone that lives in the Gulf States is safe. I know I am not the only one in here that has loved ones in that area, I hope we hear from them soon.

IVAN took out the EB lanes of I10 at Pensacola Fl.(Bridge over the bay) also damaged the WB lanes.Wonder how long it will take to get that fixed?

I live in Franklin, NC. Tonight we are having high winds and flooding. Some of the roads are under water, blocked by debris, or mud slides. I have been listening to the scanner the fire dept. is evacuating some people because of flooding, a mobile home was blown over, and two were blown off there foundation.
