Sure, it's possible. But, there are people who will read this thread and be convinced that, as the police spokesman in Phoenix said, the officer was doing exactly what he was supposed to do, and when they read the comments of sanity and common sense here they will just be spittin' bubbles mad. Some will give Google a good workout looking for something, anything to bolster their contrary opinion, and will be in virtual cybermeltdown until they do. Hard to pass up an opportunity like that.

Right. Two separate issues. Being in possession of an illegal substance caused you to lose your privilege. That in turn caused you to be charged with carrying without a permit. The gun itself would still be a legal, registered firearm, tho.

Sorry I had to shoot over to another state for a 10pm pick up.. Your thoughts on the carry law is the reason I asked about legal or illegal on the gun.. I assumed once ya mix the 2 everything changes.
At the time I asked,, I knew of a gun/ with a bag of weed.. And a guy running with a bottle of possibly oxycotton. I would have to read backwards to see where that came from.. I'm not justifying the shooting just asking once your mix drugs with firearms how does that change the law. When ya hear weed guns and pills on top of a guy running its easy to assume things.
Legal gun.. Does that mean legally purchased or legally carried and concealed? Guess I need to Google the story I instead of getting my news on EO.
But will stand by statement if ya avoid this stuff and not put yourself in these kind of situations ya should live a long life..

It is strange how, in just about every case like this, the person who ends up dead was being looked at for possible criminal activity?

Should drugs be illegal? Not if you follow the Constitution. Should stealing cigarilos and beating the person who tries to stop you? IN NO FREAKIN WAY!

This country TEACHES that crime is not only acceptable, but is rewarded. It teaches that cowardice and sloth is what is cherished by our "government". It also teaches that living a "lawful" life is punished and diminished. Responsibility for one's self is ridiculed. Dependence is valued while independence is scorned. The "Party" is more important than Liberty or Freedom. "Security" is worth more to far too many than self reliance.


Is the any wonder we are at this point?

Are the cops, and the government out of control? You bet your boots they are! It is the Federal Government that is arming them, militerizing them, providing them with the means to control us.

Yeah, the Feds are "making a bit of noise" now, but ONLY to cover what they are after.
