I hooked a pretty good one today, and I fought with it, and I fought with it, but no luck. Just could not land it. Had to give up on it, one foot too long. :(

I watched a Russian last year struggle like that he ended up bungee cording his doors together and it overhung the tail.....as the shipper watched and laughed....and actually let this azz clown drive away with his material like that....

I hauled a bundle of 14' overhead door track from a Roadway terminal south of Chicago to a town in Wisconsin that was about an hour from my house. It only stuck out about 2'. I ran a strap from one side wall E-track to the other, going around the outside of the rear doors. Had it not been for the fact that it delivered so close to my house, I probably would have taken the dry run pay.

Closest I came to that was 3 @ 45" that turned into 3 @ 50".
Seat all the way up and forward.
Doors almost, but not quite shut.
I don't trust bungees for something like that so I used a 2" ratchet strap around the doors.
Thank God it was a shorty!
I think it was the $2.47 a mile that motivated me the most.

I was leaving the rest area north of Columbus on I-71 when 4 state troopers passed me, with lights and siren on.... First thing that crossed my mind was Krispie Kream must have turned the sign on.
