Sometimes it isn't the dollar amounts, but the actual transparency. Many carriers lose credibility when they claim they don't make money on something when they clearly do.
It amazes me when some of them will lie, cheat, nickel and dime contractors, fail to disclose the simplest of things and then wonder why their fleets are shrinking.
