No the new policy won't affect the military. Just think up to nine hundred sailors have to wait for two lesbian's to finish sucking face before they can get off the boat. ;) At least they were cute. :eek: I can't wait for the first guys to be pictured in the news paper. :rolleyes:

For the first time, a lesbian couple today marked a time-honored Navy homecoming tradition in which a sailor is chosen to be the first off the ship to exchange a kiss with a loved one, The Virginian-Pilot reports.

The USS Oak Hill returned to the Navy base at Virginia Beach after almost three months at sea training in Central America.

As homecoming approached, the crew and the ship's family readiness group sold $1 raffle tickets to pick the sailor to be first off the ship to deliver the coveted first kiss on the dock.

Petty Officer 2nd Class Marissa Gaeta bought 50 tickets and won, the newspaper reports.

Navy officials said it was the first time on record that a same-sex couple was chosen to kiss first upon a ship's return, the Associated Press reports.

Here's how The Virginian-Pilot reported the precedent-shattering event of the post "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" era:

Her girlfriend of two years, Petty Officer 3rd Class Citlalic Snell, was waiting when she crossed the brow. They kissed. The crowd cheered. And with that, another vestige of the policy that forced gays to serve in secrecy vanished.

That's it...why don't we just send a message to God with the exact wording of, "Please judge and destroy our nation." In this case, the picture is worth 6 words. Well, it won't matter in the end; Dr. Paul probably won't be elected president, and the nation will be destroyed anyway. Of course, it'll hardly be a picnic for those of us who have to endure it. So when you're cold and starving with roving bands of rapists and looters looking for you, remember the picture of the two lesbians kissing in front of God of everybody with the blessing of the US government.

That is why I posted it, because I thought it was funny, not because it upset me.

You are correct that we have a lot more important things to be concerned with, but I still 'liked' the story and was tickled to death that it wasn't two guys swapping spit.

My comment wasn't really about anyone specific, just a general comment.

Hearing some rather disparaging comments from religious types when the picture hit the "internet", this one was mild - very very mild and clearly said with no malice towards the two in the picture.

Talk about olmost spitting your chew all over the windshield when i read this. What a horrible way to welcome our real men and women to the mainland with that disrespectful disgusting act of false love. 2012 is getting near lol godhelp us

Too bad for you. NASTY place. The rats are even leaving. Infested with walking, talking viruses. They just arrested two of those viruses for holding a girl for about 2 weeks and raping her the entire time. GREAT place to reside.

That place is a pustule on the State of Michigan.

Sorry, I got it wrong. Those viruses only held and raped the 13 year old girl for a week, not two.

There are few places nasty or disgusting enough to plant people like this. Assuming that these two did it of course.

DETROIT - Two men have been charged in the sexual assault of a 13-year-old Detroit girl over two days.

The Wayne County prosecutor's office says 24-year-old Steven Wilson and 20-year-old DaJuan Lewis are jailed. Another 20-year-old man is being sought by police.

Authorities say the girl was forced into a truck last Friday evening and driven to an apartment in Southfield where she was raped by one man until Sunday. The girl then was taken to a house in Detroit where she was sexually assaulted by two other men.

Wilson is charged with three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Lewis is charged with one count. They were arraigned Thursday and are being held on bond pending future court dates.

It wasn't immediately clear if they have attorneys.

Civility, even in America, is but a thin veneer. Like tooth enamel, it can be worn away under certain conditions. When it does, America will look like a Caucasian version of Somalia.

To my eyes the Bluewater is worse. All the CBP trucks parked everywhere makes it feel like a war zone. Ridiculous display IMNHO.
