Is this a good time to get into expediting?

My husband and I are having to change our line of work after 15 years and we're considering expediting in a straight truck. With the economy like it is, we were wondering if this is a good time to get into it. Does anyone out there have any advice for us? We would sure appreciate any help.

iwould wait a bit longer as it is slow right now, and if you come
and become a o/o you will have no benfits under you pay for them
or work for someone who provides them, or work for a company as a drive
if you go out to airport cargo area you should find a couple of companeis to look at

NO THIS IS NOT A GOOD TIME TO GET INTO EXPEDITING! IT'S VERY SLOW RIGHT NOW AND THINGS ARE TUFF OUT HERE. WE HAVE BEEN DOING 1 LOAD A WEEK FOR THE LAST MONTH. I WOULD WAITE AWHILE BEFORE I DID ANYTHING. IF YOU HAVE A JOB RIGHT NOW I'D KEEP IT IF I WAS YOU. I WISH I COULD GIVE YOU BETTER NEWS THAN THAT BUT I CAN'T. MAYBEE LATER ON IN THE YEAR IT'LL BE BETTER. IF YOU DO DECIDE TO GET IN TO EXPEDITING DRIVE FOR AN OWNER OPERATOR DON'T BUY A TRUCK UNTIL YOU HAVE TRIED IT FOR A YEAR OR SO.THATS THE ONLT WAY TO KNOW IF ITS FOR YOU OR NOT.
